If the landlord keeps the tenant`s goods for a certain period of time, he must install them in a safe place where they are not damaged or stolen. Under the NSW Act, the tenant or landlord can terminate a housing rental agreement in certain circumstances. Landlords and tenants have different reasons why they can terminate the rental agreement. Fair Trading sends a notice to the party who does not sign the form and gives them 14 days to settle the matter or contest the claim by going to court.
